Business Information Verification Privacy Notice

This notice explains how Easy Business Ltd. (“IzziGo”) handles personal data when maintaining factual public business-directory information and checking its accuracy.

2. Purpose of processing

IzziGo maintains a factual directory of businesses and cultural places. We may process publicly available business information to identify a business, maintain accurate directory information, identify missing or potentially outdated information, and handle corrections or accuracy questions.

A verification request is created only where specific factual information requires checking, for example because information is missing, conflicting, potentially outdated, reported as inaccurate, or there is a credible indication that the business information has changed.

3. Personal data we may process

Depending on the circumstances, this may include a publicly associated business contact address, business name, directory information, information being checked, source and provenance information, verification reason, delivery or bounce information, and any confirmation, correction, objection or other response.

4. Sources

Information may be obtained from publicly accessible sources associated with the business, including official business websites and other public sources used to verify factual business information. IzziGo records relevant source information so that accuracy decisions can be reviewed.

5. Legal basis

Where this information constitutes personal data and the GDPR applies, IzziGo may rely on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

The legitimate interests pursued are maintaining accurate factual directory information, reducing inaccurate or outdated business information, and handling corrections and accuracy disputes.

IzziGo assesses the purpose, necessity and impact on the affected person before relying on this legal basis.

Rules governing whether a particular electronic verification message may be sent are assessed separately under the law applicable to that communication.

6. Recipients and service providers

Personal data may be accessed by authorized IzziGo personnel and service providers necessary to operate the directory, communications and supporting infrastructure. Public factual business information may appear on the IzziGo directory.

7. International processing

Personal data may be processed in countries outside the EEA where IzziGo or its service providers operate. Where applicable law requires safeguards for an international transfer, IzziGo applies the appropriate legal transfer mechanism.

8. Retention

Information is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for directory accuracy, verification, corrections, objections, suppression where required, dispute handling and compliance evidence, after which it is deleted or anonymized according to IzziGo's retention rules.

9. Your rights

Depending on the applicable law and circumstances, you may have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection.

Where processing is based on legitimate interests, you may object on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may also lodge a complaint with the competent data-protection authority.

10. Purpose separation

Information supplied through a verification request is used for directory accuracy and related compliance purposes. A confirmation or correction does not create consent to receive promotional communications.
