Flija
Flija is one of Kosovo’s most distinctive traditional dishes, built from many thin layers of batter brushed with a rich dairy mixture and cooked gradually. Its preparation is slow and often social, making it as much about gathering as eating. Travelers may encounter flija in traditional restaurants, family celebrations, and rural settings, where its crisp edges and soft layered center offer a memorable taste of local hospitality.
