Potica
Potica is Slovenia’s celebrated rolled pastry, made by spreading a rich filling over thin dough before rolling and baking it in a ring or loaf. Walnut is the classic filling, although tarragon, poppy seed and other versions are also found. Travelers often encounter potica around holidays and family celebrations, but bakeries and cafés offer an easy chance to taste this distinctly Slovenian favorite.
