Khinkali
Khinkali are one of Georgia’s most distinctive foods: pleated dumplings traditionally filled with seasoned meat, though many regional and vegetarian variations also exist. They are usually eaten by hand, holding the twisted top while carefully biting into the dumpling and sipping the hot broth inside. For travelers, sharing a plate of khinkali is an easy introduction to Georgian table culture—informal, generous and centered on eating together.
